As you may be aware the US has been reporting increasing cases of COVID-19, especially in Texas. Unfortunately, we have had multiple members of the ASE team test positive for COVID-19, and others who are now showing symptoms. With the health and wellbeing of our team being one of our top priorities, we will be operating with reduced services for the next two weeks. There will be a skeleton crew on-site and all standard lines of communication will still be available throughout this time.
On the 7th - 8th of January we had a small team continuing to swab the ASE 3, yet again producing some impressive results, approximately 100% cut (oil-to-water ratio). We ran the gauges (less than 400 per minute) down the wellbore to prepare to measure and record downhole pressure. The well is now shut-in and ready to commence our production tests.
As shown in the video below, we have a new member, Robert, joining the ASE operations team, who has over 34 years experience in completing Misener wells. Robert stated that the ASE 3 is twice as good as any other Misener well he has completed and that the wells are still producing oil today.
