During the past few months, our team has been searching for 4-1/2 inch casing that was planned to go inside the ASE 5#1H's 6-1/4 inch wellbore, but due to a global shortage, it has been almost impossible to find, with extended delivery wait times, as well as up to a 40% increase in the cost.
In order to be solution focused, in the past 1-2 weeks we have been in communication with Hadaway Engineering and a hydraulic fracturing consultant regarding alternative options.
We are now able to report that we have a solution, which is to use the 3-1/2 inch drill pipe we used for the well, cement in place, then complete the perforating followed by the hydraulic fracturing and flowback/production. The consultants have stated that they have seen this exact process (using the 3-1/2 drill pipe) completed on multiple occasions and have produced impressive results.
