We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our operations! The Cherokee #1-9 (Phase 1) well has successfully reached its target depth of 3,173 feet in record time. This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team.
We are equally excited to share that our geologist, Bob F. Pfannenstiel, has commenced his preliminary analysis of the RedFork rock samples obtained from the well. Bob has expressed great optimism, stating that "the rock looks very good," and initial observations indicate that we have approximately 40 feet of formation in place.
In the next 24 hours, our team will conduct the logging process, which will provide us with invaluable data. This includes determining the depths of formation tops, assessing the thickness of formations, measuring porosity, and identifying the presence of oil and/or gas. We will also estimate the permeability of the formations. To ensure transparency, we have arranged for the entire logging process to be filmed and will share the footage in our next portal update.
It is important to note that the log analysis ultimately determines the commercial viability of a well, as well as the need for casing, cementing, and completion procedures. It serves as a comprehensive record of the subsurface and acts as a reliable predictor of success. While we await the final results, the initial signs are highly encouraging. We urge you to pay special attention to the sample descriptions provided by Bob, as they indicate strong shows of oil within the RedFork rock.
Over the next few days, Bob will continue analyzing the remaining samples. By mid-next week, we anticipate receiving his comprehensive report on the rock samples and open-hole logs. As promised, we will promptly share this report with you through the investor portal.
